This Friday, former Mayor of New York City Rudy Giuliani will visit the College on the Hill. Giuliani’s appearance at Dartmouth will round out a tour of New Hampshire, including a meeting at Exeter Hospital, a talk with National Rifle Association members, and a Republican Women’s luncheon. During his time at Dartmouth, Giuliani will have breakfast with the College Republicans, meet privately with faculty members, and socialize with Hanover community members at an Open House event at the Top of the Hop from 2:00 to 3:30 PM. All who are interested are encouraged to attend this meet-and-greet.
It seems curious that Giuliani has planned a trip through the first presidential primary state this week considering the circulating rumor that he will soon announce whether or not he plans on running for president. Giuliani has previously stated that he would make a decision regarding another run for the highest office by the end of this summer. New Hampshire Republican activist Wayne Semprini believes that Giuliani is still considering entering the race. Perhaps Giuliani, who placed fourth in the 2008 New Hampshire primary, will make known his final decision on campus Friday.
