New VP for Institutional Diversity and Equity Named, No Surprise

The College has named the new Vice President for Institutional Diversity and Equity. It will by Holly Sateia, who has been working on diversity issues at the College since 1974. Probably most famous for overseeing the creation of the bureaucratic sink-hole known as OPAL (Office of Plurality and Leadership), she will take over the reins from Stuart Lord who was serving as the interim Vice President.

“In my time at the College, in a variety of positions, I’ve come to appreciate the importance of a dedicated and sustained effort around diversity issues and opportunities,” says Sateia. “In my new role as vice president, I look forward to working with faculty, staff, and students so that together we can create the most inclusive environment for living, learning, and working.”
