Winter Arrives in Hanover

After several weeks of unseasonably warm weather at Dartmouth — 61 degrees in November?! — people returning to campus from Thanksgiving break will stumble upon this newly wintry landscape. Hanover finally got a significant amount of snow today, providing the Green with a very pleasant layer of white. As a Texan, especially, I’ve always found the first snowfall of the year to be a particularly exciting event. Inevitably, that excitement will turn to misery sometime in late January. For now, however, it makes for a nice distraction from the unpleasant imminence of finals.

UPDATE: The 2011 Class Council informs us via email that a midnight snowball fight is being arranged.
