Trustee Election Makes More Headlines

The Chronicle of Higher Education has a roundup of the alumni Trustee election, with extensive coverage of the petition candidates and the various campaign irregularities.

Interestingly, Geoff Berlin ’84, the man behind the shadowy anti-petition candidate group Alumni for a Strong Dartmouth, went on the record with the Chronicle. Berlin did not respond to requests for comment from The Dartmouth Review. He told the Chronicle that

the real issue might not be the election’s results, but how Dartmouth decides to react to two uniquely participatory elections.

“It would be completely paradoxical if we ended up censoring the democratic process at institutions of higher learning,” Mr. Berlin says.

The democratic process should not, apparently, include opportunities for genuine reformers. Via Powerline.

Voting ends tomorrow afternoon.
