According to survey results released on Thursday by Harvard’s Institute of Politics, President Obama’s approval rating has risen by nine percentage points among college students since October. The past three surveys released by Harvard showed a consistent downward trend in Mr. Obama’s approval ratings. However, for the first time, Mr. Obama’s approval rating has increased from 51 percent in October to 60 percent.

Despite the increase in Mr. Obama’s approval rating, the survey also concluded that 64 percent of college students remain distrustful of the federal government. In addition, 83 percent of students  in the survey expressed concern for the United States’ overall standing in the world.
