New Director Announced for Hood Museum

According to the College’s publicity site, Dartmouth Now, the Hood Museum of Art has named a new Director. Mchael Taylor, the curator of modern art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, has been chosen to succeed the beloved Brian Kennedy, who departed less than a year ago. Dr. Taylor will take over directly from Interim Director Katherine Hart.

This is an exciting development for the Hood, as Mr. Taylor brings impeccable credentials, including Masters degrees from Edinburgh and the Courtauld, as well as a PhD from the latter. A specialist in Dada and Surrealism, Taylor will undoubtedly bring a fresh perspective to the museum, which could use an infusion in the modern sections.

The Review welcomes Mr. Taylor and wishes him a long and fruitful tenure.
