GOP Strategists Suggest Dartmouth Grad for VP

In a Politico report today, GOP insiders have agreed with a recent poll by National Journal that suggest Dartmouth alumnus and Ohio state Senator Rob Portman ’79 has the greatest potential of becoming Mitt Romney’s running mate as vice president. As former Director of the Office of Management and Budget, Portman is one the few who can clearly articulate our desperate need for fiscal responsibility in Washington, DC. Portman hails from a crucial swing state and has presidential preparedness. Also at the top of the list from GOP strategists is Florida Senator Marco Rubio.
