Ellis ’06 Recognized by Forbes

Michael Ellis ’06, as seen this spring with his wife at TDR’s 30th anniversary gala in New York City (photo courtesy of Gordon Haff Th. ’81).We at The Dartmouth Review would like to extend hearty congratulations to former editor-in-chief Michael Ellis ’06, who was recently recognized by Forbes in their list, “30 Under 30: Law and Policy,” which names thirty of the most impressive young minds in the country in their respective fields.

Mr. Ellis is recognized in law and policy. A former official for the Bush White House, an officer in the Navy Reserve, a Romney aide, and a member of the Review’s Board of Trustees, will soon clerk for Judge Jeffrey Sutton on the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. The recognition from Forbes is well-deserved.

This has been a banner year for TDR alumni; earlier this year Joe Rago ’05 won the Pulitzer Prize for his editorials on Obamacare. It’s no surprise; TDR has attracted the top writing talent on campus and, by extension, the country for a number of years. Mssrs. Ellis and Rago are certainly proof enough of that.

  1. How is Michael Ellis involved in the current House Intelligence Committee scandal with House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes? I have a sneaking suspicion that when THIS can of worms is opened, it’s going to be a humdinger and neither Ellis’ nor Nunes’ wives are going to be happy about it.
