Bruce on the Trustee Election

John Bruce ’69 has written a typically insightful analysis of the alumni Trustee election. He takes on the administration’s detractors:

The difficulty I see with trying to put petition candidates on a Board of Trustees is that micromanaging issues like class enrollment or keg policy or faculty hiring is not normally a Board’s job.

The detractors’ detractors aren’t spared either:

This is Prof. Sa’adah’s response to complaints about the problem from students, and apparently alumni as well… After reading this, I can’t help wondering if the Government Department’s staffing problems may stem from problems with the Department’s leadership.

It’s good to hear some alumni perspectives.
